The flannel flower (Actinotus helianthi) is an iconic Australian plant that has been used in art and decoration since colonial times.It grows wild in New South Wales and Queensland and is commonly seen around the Sydney basin in spring and summer. It has featured on www.speech-language-therapy.com since August 2011, and since June 2013 it has also been Australia’s symbol for Mental Health Awareness.
